Shawn Lawless and Lemon Juice Breaks into the 9's at 127 mph

NEDRA NEWS (January 14, 2012) From sunny Central Florida, we're thrilled to report that Shawn Lawles has broken into the 9's with Lemon Juice.

This is a truly historic moment for EVs since it's the first electric door slammer to break into the 9's in the US.

Here are his times for the day leading up to the historic run. More info as it becomes available.

Run 1: 12.30 @ 105 mph
Run 2: 10.79 @ 121 mph
Run 3: 10.43 @ 121 mph
Run 4: 9.95 @ 127 mph

A couple days ago Shawn predicted a door slammer would break into the 9s and he was right.

Hope to have a video or photo up soon  :-D

Here's a view inside Lemon Juice. 4 GE Motors sharing a single chain. The juice to the motors is provided by two 2K amp high voltage Zilla controllers. The 9 second record run is powered by a 333 volt lithium battery pack.

This is my first post to this list.  To be very clear about the Rocket Drag Bike and the Lemon Juice S11.  The Rocket record at 7.24 and best run of 7.13 seconds were made with batteries designed and supplied by High Tech Systems (Derek Barger). The Flight Power batteries have never been in the Rocket bike to date.  My intent is me personally to throughly test them in the S11 before installing them in the bike.  The 9.80 and 9.95 runs in the S11 were made using the Flight Power batteries.  We look forward to even quicker runs in the near future.

The packs we have supplied for the Rocket are spec'd for combination of power increase and a much flatter voltage curve under load with an all up weight reduction of around 100Kg / 220lb crucially bringing the weight within the load tolerance of the rear tyre.  Some subunits of this pack have been officially tested in the Predator and Lemon Juice delivering two additional NEDRA records as well as appearing on American Chopper Live in December on a special build with Shawn Lawless. The currently recorded figures for the Rocket despite carrying the current NEDRA world record with all credit to Team Lawless, OCC and rider Larry McBride do not yet reflect these changes.  We remain quietly (beside ourselves) in anticipation of the fortcoming officially recorded Rocket run.

Are you guys assembling the packs for them, or providing them modules that they assemble?  Also what type of BMS are you recommending for these?
