Honda CB-360 Cafe Racer

Getting some order back to my life. All my stuff in one garage now. Getting my hands back on the Honda CB-360T that I got from a friend for FREE.

Going to do an electric Cafe Racer style rebuild......
So the question is ............
Do I keep the old Honda gasoline fuel tank or go full out Cafe style, slim it down and do a custom aero style smaller tank that really won't even be a tank?

(yes that is the "V-16" 20 mile 40 AH Lithium pack on the table behind it ;-)
.... and the really cool 36 volt motor that John Wayland gave me a while back that has the female spline shaft, that I'm not going to tell anyone what I did to make it work with the bike but its going to be really cool if I can get it to work.

By the way I was told how to fairly easily convert those female splined shaft motors to male shafts. Although after my design Mods I don't need to do the conversion. But the trick is that many of the female spline shafts are "inserts" that you can pull out and put a male splined shaft into.

Who knew that, besides the person doing the real frozen water ice snow machine racer that told me?

Mike

I know this is an old thread, but I have made a little progress on the bike. 3" Swing Arm extension. I've been wanting to work on this for a while but my drill press was so buried in my garage it took me a couple days to dig it out that I just didn't have. But I got it out last week and it only took me 3 hours to do this extension. Other photos in the albumElectric CB-360 Build

Got the swing Arm stretched 3", got the motor mounted and the battery frames started.

Moving slowly but surely.
