GM is the one that's over branded. Cadi, GMC, Chevy, Pontiac, Buick.  I hate to see any of them go though.  Plymouth, Oldsmobile, and now Mercury.  It's the automobile life cycle I guess.  Edsel, Desoto, Studebaker, AMC, Willys.....

I agree, it does sound a bit like a 'quick fix' solution.Surely you can never be 100% absolutely certain that something won't go wrong.
