I ordering 1pair of dragslick tyres

I have an order in progress for 1 pair of dragslick tyres 8,5/24,5 - R15 for my drag car Opel Corsa 2.0T with about 450BHP with FWD.
I am very anxious to get that and then to test it on last contest from my country for drag race.

I will return with other news.

Please tell me one thing.
With that dragslicks I protect or not my gearbox and my shift and my transmision kit?
Because I think cause if those is elastical withh not affect those on start.

Soo?

Sorry for my bad english.

Hello corsa_power

I don't understand, are you spinning or bogging off the line.

As I say I have an dragcar with weight of 900kg and 460BHP at wheel.
That car have an manual gearboxx from an car with have AWD(I get out 4x4,not have) and 500kg more than my car with 6speed in front and an simple paddle clutch racing and shift for planetary custom on UK fro drag.
I am worried cause all those not rezist to that force with make such at that dragslick tyres as I buy 24,5/8,5-15 or because is is more elastic then an normal tyres can help me to protect my transmision on starting of 402m(1/4mile).

Thanks,

Hello corsa_power,

If you are worried about breaking the transmission increase the air pressure in the slick, and that will allow the slicks to spin and not bite as hard (this does not guarantee you won't break your transmission but it will help).
